Over my career, I’ve published in a range of newspapers, magazines and travel books. I was a staff reporter at the New York Post (2002-2003), and from 2006-2209 made a living as a travel writer and freelancer in Buenos Aires. My work has been published in a wide range of publications, including the Wall St Journal, the Sydney Morning Herald, Qantas’ Australian Way magazine, Marie Claire, BBC online, Time Out publications in Europe and Latin America, and Lonely Planet guides to Argentina and Australia. I kept a blog while living in Argentina, though it hasn’t been updated in a long time….
My latest published piece was an oped about Captain James Cook and how we judge his actions at Botany Bay, and what they might mean to us today. Titled Let’s take a Captain Cook at our national identity, it was published in the Sun Herald on
Also online are two digital projects for SBS, on which I was the writer. Exit Syria, a close look at the Za’atari refugee camp, and The Other 9/11, a look at the coup that upended Chile’s democracy and ushered in a brutal 17-year dictatorship.
